This Dynamo script (v1.1.0) automates NEC 2023-compliant electrical load estimation for equipment, HVAC, and lighting in Revit MEP projects. It generates CSV reports and formatted tables, perfect for MEP engineers validating designs. Free to download to promote the MEP Dynamo Toolkit.

Estimates loads for OST_ElectricalEquipment, OST_MechanicalEquipment, and OST_LightingFixtures.
Applies NEC 2023 demand factors with single/three-phase detection.

Instructions:

Open Revit 2023–2025 with equipment, HVAC, and lighting elements.
Launch Dynamo 2.17+; ensure RevitAPI/RevitServices are available.
Add Python Script node, load Electrical_Load_Estimator.py.
Run the script (no inputs required).
Check Desktop for Electrical_Load_Estimate.csv and Dynamo for table output.

Notes:

Ensure elements have “Apparent Load” and “Voltage” parameters; defaults to 120V if missing.
